NO APNEA!
Now I don't really know if that is a good thing because that means I don't know what is causing the headaches and the lack of rest. They suggested weight reduction and for now just continue on the sleep meds.
I guess the next steps are getting more exercise, watching my diet and trying to relax. There is so much going on right now I don't know if I can do that or not......lol!

I'm glad to hear you don't have apnea and I'm sure it's frustrating not having any answers, but I've been in the same boat for years. You're probably going to have to start looking for your own solutions. Clues that might help direct you would be what do you think of the minute you come awake in the middle of the night? I always have a lot going on in my life; a lot of irons in the fire. So, my head gets crowded with thoughts, ideas, worries and plans. I find I must "quiet" the voices in my head before sleep. I usually do this by sitting quietly in a soft lit place with my eyes closed reviewing my day and revisiting all the positives that happened that day; a smile from a neighbor, someone let me out into traffic, a call from one of my kids, etc. - kind of meditation, I guess. My grandmother was an herbalist and her remedy was a hot cup of chamomile tea with honey before bed. I sometimes practice progressive relaxation a technique I learned while working in detox/rehab. Developing an evening routine that allows you to "wind down" may provide some relief. All that being said, if you have a belief that there is a physical cause for this problem, then keep looking to the medical community for answers. Someone will eventually unravel the mystery. I wish you luck and Godspeed in finding some relief.
That's great! I think...
I'm kind of in the same boat. I'm waiting on test results and in a weird way, I want them to be positive. To put a name to all this. On the other hand, I don't want epilepsy in any form whatsoever. I'm beginning to think its a no-win, no-win situation.
My prayers are with you, because especially with the situation with Robert's mom, things must be feeling overwhelming. In the little while I've known you, I sense that you are strong and will do whatever you have to, to get through it. Hopefully you will get relief or at least an answer soon! Take care,
Jennifer
